The Investigation:
Upon arriving at the location, it was a very cold and windy night, we started by getting ourselves familiar with the area before settling down to conduct the vigil.
The main areas we were concentrating on were the Tower and the grave yard.
We started the first vigil at the tower itself, strange noises could be heard but due to the bad weather we had to dismiss any noises and movements we witnessed.
A further vigil took place in the grave yard, but high winds were preventing us from conducting any form of investigation.
Conclusion:
The Rotherham-ghosts team decided to leave the area around

Overview:

The Investigation:
Upon arriving at the location, it was a very cold and windy night, we started by getting ourselves familiar with the area before settling down to conduct the vigil.
The main areas we were concentrating on were the Tower and the Furnace just through the woodland area.
We started the first vigil at the furnace itself, where a strange orb was captured on camera, this wasn’t noticed at the time the film was taken. This is the same area where a man walking his dog reported seeing another man at work, “described has from another time”. Due the high winds that evening and the motorway traffic passing close by. It was very difficult to conduct a vigil. so we had to dismiss any noises and movements we witnessed.
A further vigil took place around the in tower, to see if we could see the reported lights that had been seen by the local residents, again due to the adverse weather it and motorway traffic we found it very difficult to pin point any paranormal activity. However, the group did keep seeing a lot of movement outside the doorway of the tower, but again had to dismiss this due to the passing traffic and the head light reflections coming through the woods.
Conclusion:
The Rotherham-ghosts team left the area around 0110 hours a little disappointed with their results of the evening. But did see movements and on reviewing their video footage caught a strange orb object on tape. We do intend on visiting this location again when the weather is better. For another try.
The Video Report
Wombwell (Undisclosed)
Location: Shop in Wombwell (Undisclosed)

Equipment used: E.M.F, Digital Cameras, Night Vision Camcorders, Digital Voice Recorder, Thermometer, ghost voice box, sonic mic.
Experiments: E.V.P.
Over view:
The Rotherham Paranormal team were called in to this location by the owner of the property, who stated that they were having strange phenomena taking place during trading hours, such as black balls of light appearing from the cellar, people being touched and their cloths being pulled while in the shop along with strange noise coming from the cellar. The age of the building was unknown, but the owners thought is was built around the 18 hundreds. There has been a lot of structural changes to the building which included the second floor and attic space completely sealed off from the rest of the building, as well as the cellar area having a wall bricked up to where the old cellar steps used to go down. Behind the wall, the owner believed it to be a void space. The owners were genuinely spooked by the whole experience.
The walk around
Upon arriving at the location Joe and Richard conducted there usual walk around the building and discussing the strange happenings with the owners.
Investigation 1. Cellar room 3
It was decided that they would conduct the majority of the investigation in the cellar area, due to being disturbed by noise from local bars and pubs on the ground floor. During the walk around, Joe and Richard were in the cellar, when they heard a noise which sounded like a screw or nail being thrown at them. Upon searching the area they found a small screw about half an inch long on the floor, it seemed to have come from the stair well to the cellar.
Joe decided to try out the EMF meter to see if there would be any changes in the readings from the base line test of 0.2, upon moving the machine near the wall in the far corner of the cellar, the meter started to read off the scale. This had not happened originally, we decided to leave the meter running and lock a camera off on it to see if we could capture anything on film. The camcorder was left running for almost an hour until the EMF meter stopped has strangely as it had started. Upon reviewing the video footage when we got home there was nothing caught on the tape that could explain what had happened or why the meter had gone off in the first place?
Investigation 2. Cellar room 1&2
While the EMF experiment was taking place they decided to conduct a further investigation in one of the other cellar rooms with the owners of the shop. Reports of dark shapes and a feeling of not being alone had been felt down there by a number of people. During the investigation, both Joe and Richard did some calling out to try and communicate with anyone that may have been there. However, the only things that they encountered, was some dark shapes that where moving around in one far corner, again they tried to tape this on their night vision camcorder, but after reviewing the footage at a later date, nothing was caught of the video recording.
Investigation 3. Return to cellar room 3
Joe and Richard both decided that a further investigation of cellar 3 would more than likely be the best option to capture something on film. The feeling in this room was quite oppressive and both of them felt as though they didn’t want to be alone in there.
Joe decided that he would try some more equipment and experiments, so we chose to use the digital voice recorder and the boom mic to try and capture some E.V.P.s. After setting the equipment up to record, Joe was calling out near the wall where the void room was, after several attempts of communicating, Joe asked again ‘Is there anybody there’ for which a voice replied “YESSSSSSSS” this could be clearly heard by all of the group and was caught on the voice recorder and the camera that was filing at the time. This shook everyone up at the shear volume this came through on the recorder. It was decided then that we would take a break has the owners of the property were quite shaken by this and to decide what we would do next.
Investigation 4. Return to the cellar room 3, part 2
After calming the owners of the property down and discussing what we heard and had caught on the video and recording device, Richard decided to try the same experiment that Joe had done to see if he could get the same response Joe had got about 30 minutes before. Richard proceeded to repeat exactly what Joe had done and ask if there was anyone there?
Richard was getting some form of a response, but we couldn’t hear exactly what it was that was coming through the machine. Only when we got back home and listened more careful to the recording that you can hear the voice responding to Richard again by saying YESSSSSSS, along with responding to him with the name of SAM when he asked for a name.
Conclusion
Richard and Joe decided to stop the investigation for the evening and bring back more team members to conduct a further investigation to see if they could get a repeat of what had happened to that that night. Both of them were quite impressed with what had happened to them all during the investigation and agreed that something paranormal had taken place.
In addition to the investigations.
Just before the cameras were turned on to record the end of the video report, Richard felt quite unnerved near the doorway so decided to move away, only to his shock something grabbed hold of his coat. Unfortunately this didn’t get caught on film.
The Return July 2008
The Rotherham Paranormal team did return again 3 weeks later to conduct a further investigation with the rest of the team, but unfortunately nothing happened on this investigation to make a report on the website, this just goes to show that paranormal activity cannot predicted in any way and things only happen when they want to happen.
